The Odessa R7 school district is a wonderful district with people that care. It is a smaller district that allows a smaller teacher-ratio.
The teachers get to know you and the student body is like family. It’s a great environment.

Odessa has a decent school district. The people and some teachers can be the ups and downs overall. You basically just get through the day. There are some hidden gems that make the school worth it, however, but that can be with any school. The location is pretty though. The sports are also worth it as well as clubs.

My experience with Odessa R-VII School District has been positive overall. The dedicated educators fostered my academic and personal growth. The inclusive and collaborative atmosphere among students created a sense of community. I appreciate the variety of extracurricular activities that allowed me to explore diverse interests. However, there is room for improvement in expanding access to advanced courses and enhancing facilities and technology infrastructure for an even more conducive learning environment. Overall, Odessa R-VII has provided a solid foundation, but strategic improvements could further elevate the educational experience.

I really enjoy the Odessa MO school district. We are a small community with caring residents. I feel the teachers and administration strive to reach every child that comes through their door. With being a smaller district I feel the financial support is not always as big as the bigger districts in the immediate area. Sometimes more financial means would help with different purchases for the betterment of the students.

Odessa is a small town in Missouri. I loved Odessa's schools for the first five years of my education there. And then city dwellers began to invade. And then school staff left. And then Covid 19 hit the country, shutting down the school for months. My education here was greatly impacted and little has been done to recover those several months of missed learning. What was once the greatest district in the state, over time became the nastiest and most looked down upon school. I am grateful I only have a year left here before I am free to begin my higher education.

I've been going to this district for years and I've had a pleasurable experience. Sometimes the board makes the not so best decisions but the populus and families of the school pull through almost anything. The schools are doing a lot of activities regarding sports and being more inclusive within the student body.

Odessa is a pretty good high school. I learned a lot, the culture isn’t great but that doesn’t really have anything to do with learning

The environment of a smaller school is very refreshing. The staff there have more one-on-one communication with the students. The staff care deeply about the students and their success and it shows in how they teach and interact with the each individual. Personally, my experience in this school has been exceptional. The teachers go out of their way to help students and make sure that we succeed in what ever we are trying to pursue. Over all, Odessa High School has been a great place where students are molded into respectable adults that care about their community.

I greatly enjoyed my time at Odessa! The professors were always friendly and helpful, I was challenged academically to gain knowledge, and had wonderful coaches to help me become a strong responsible woman.

I am about to graduate from Odessa High School in 2020, and this school has helped me grow up. The teachers don't go easy on kids in order to prepare them for college and life as adults. The administers are involved and the sports teams were supported as well.

School encourages involvement but doesn't do a good job of balancing academics and extra-curricular activities

I liked how personable the teachers are here and how they care for each and every one of their students. They do their best to teach the kids and prepare them for their next chapter in life.

Overall I had a pretty good High School experience here, but I never went to another school so I have nothing to compare it to. The teachers are good about being in touch with all their students and are very willing to be involved in their students lives. Being in such a small town equals a ln equally small school which makes it easier to talk and build relationships with teachers and staff. Many students and myself have had teachers and other staff go above and beyond to comfort us when in a slump and make sure that we had all the support we could possibly have. They won't hold your hand through the whole course obviously, but if you are legitimately struggling with the work or a section of the course, they will do all they can to help you or find someone who can.

While attending Odessa High School I was mainly a part of the Drama Club and the school newspaper. After, attending college I do not believe that the school does a great job of preparing their students for college.

Odessa High School is the school for a small town. This school is well diverse and great facilities. The schools are nice and kept up. The teachers are not as involved as I believe they should be. A sports player would very much fit in here, and academics are challenged. There are many extra curricular activities available to the students. I would change the resources open to the students, as well as improved counselor assistance.
