I don’t know why, but I am really stuck on the name Darcy for our little boy. It’s our third boy & when searching names I came across it and fell in love. My husband and my mom think it’s too feminine & that he’ll be made fun of, but I really think it’s more androgynous. We’re leading towards Wayne for the middle name but aren’t set on anything just yet.

Thoughts?? And if you think it’s too girly, what are some other options? (My other two are Luke Denver and Airius Reid)

I think it’s unisex and I prefer it on a male. I think Mr Darcy even though that was his last name.

I think of Mr. Darcy, but since it’s his last name, it does sound more feminine to me. It is a gender neutral name, though!

OK so I absolutely love the old schools gender neutral names and this one takes the cake for me especially on a man! It’s hands-down my absolute favourite unisex name. It’s not feminine at all! If you’re going with a unisex name I think you have to know for sure that generally people have some that they prefer on men and some they prefer on women and that’s fine but it’s definitely not a feminine name. To me it’s very old school Hollywood glamour with a little bit of country mixed in there. I just absolutely love it go for it!

I was shocked to think of Darcy as a males name. I’m all about androgynous and unisex but to me this doesn’t fit it. I would definitely assume it was a female if I read it on paper.
